ITINERARY: We will visit one of the most intriguing places — port Whittier. There is a beautiful drive of 2 hours on the most beautiful highways in the world - Seward Hwy. 8:30 Hotel pick up 8:45 We are driving through the beauty of Seward Hwy, visiting waterfalls and an abandoned mining village, checking belugas at Beluga Point 10:30 Portage Lake and Glacier walk. It's an easy 1-hour hike to one of the most accessible glaciers. 12:30 World War 2 historical Tunnel to Whittier 1:45 We are exploring Port Whittier, an abandoned Military base, the Society-Under-One-Roof building, and Emerald Cove trailhead. If the group is in good shape, we can hike to the waterfall in the woods; it will be part of the Emerald Cove trail with a fantastic view of Prince William Sound and Horse Tail Waterfall. If we want to see Portage Glacier and Lake - I'll bring you to Portage Pass, and we are walking down to Portage Glacier (1, 5 hrs hike) 5:00 - we are heading back to Anchorage. Dinner options: BBQ, restaurant We will discuss this on the way. Meeting Point Options: Rail or Bus Station, Cruise Ship Port, Airport, Hotel, Address or Intersection, Monument/Building It's a whole day trip. We are making several stops and a few walks in the wilderness. Please be prepared to be outdoors and bring comfortable boots and clothes. The price is set for a group up to 6 people
